Silverdale Rifle Range, owned and operated by SSAA Sydney Branch, is one of the finest complexes of its type in Australia.

The range is located in Sydneys west, at 395 Avoca Rd Silverdale. To get there, from the F4 freeway, take the Mulgoa Rd exit and head south (left if heading out of Sydney), turn right at the Wallacia Hotel, follow the signs through Silverdale, and Avoca Rd is about 4km on the left past Silverdale township, you will see the familiar SSAA logo on the sign. Follow the dirt road for about 4km and you reach the range complex, signalled by a red flag. See map below.

The range was originally built by benchrest shooters in the early 70's, and has now expanded operations to include pistol, shotgun, rimfire fly, silhouette, and single action, as well as benchrest.

The range is scheduled for extensive renovations prior to the WBC. We will be building a new reloading shed as well as expanding car parking facilities. We can only host up to 200m, so the 5th day will be a 10 shot HV 200yd event.

Our range is staffed by benchrest shooters. Barry Warwick (Australian Hall of Fame member and WBC competitor) is the range manager. We have already called for volunteers to help with the WBC.

We will be arranging buses to the range each day from the accommodation venue. It takes about 20 minutes.

As we work on the range improvements, we will add more pictures on this page.
